Dr. McDonald has always been interested in the Sciences, first completing a major in Behavioural Neuroscience and a minor in Biology at Memorial University in 2005. She then decided to follow in her brother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in Chiropractic. Moving to Kansas city and attending the Cleveland Chiropractic College, graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2008.
With over 10 years of experience working as a Chiropractor Alanna is highly trusted by her committed patients. She continues to support the province’s Chiropractors through her role as President of The Newfoundland and Labrador Chiropractic Association. Through this role she is dedicated to establishing standards of practice, while protecting the public interest in our province.
Dr. Alanna McDonald has a strong belief that interdisciplinary treatment protocols work best for patients. With a common practice of Thompson technique and diversified adjusting, she is devoted to providing each patient with the individual treatment plans that will work best for them.
Despite her busy schedule Dr. McDonald still finds time to volunteer and exercise regularly. Her three small children keep her on her toes at home and as a family they share a passion for sailing.
