Biography

Jason has a keen interest in Human Performance, Health, and Social Participation. However, early in Jason’s academic learning, he was interested in engineering and preparing to become an engineer. Before enrolling in the final 3 years of his Engineering degree he decided to switch his career to helping people. Jason has been practicing occupational therapy for over 20 years now and with no regrets!

Jason is passionate about breaking down barriers that contribute to inaccessible spaces and environments.  In his free time Jason enjoys creating websites related to Occupational Therapy that can be beneficial to others.

Affiliations

Jason is an active member of The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, and  the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Therapy Board. Jason is a Certified KEY assessor, as well as Matheson trained in FCEs. He is also certified to administer the Progressive Goal Attainment Program. He has been appointed to the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Therapy Board Disciplinary Panel since 2012 and is serving as Chair of the Board for the Universal Design Network of Canada.
